Sunday, September 30, 2018 - Rockford, IL-Why settle for one, when two is so much sweeter? That was Alex Prunty’s thoughts in route to earning his second National Short Track Championship Sunday afternoon at the Rockford Speedway. Prunty joined the likes of Trickle, Shear, Carlson, Hoffman and Lepak with successfully defending their NSTC win and was the first to do so in eleven years. But the title didn’t come easy.
Friday, September 29, 2018 - Rockford, IL-On the first night of the 53rd National Short Track Championships, five different divisions crowned a champ. Michael Bilderback bested the Weekly Warrior Late Models in a caution free event. No one had anything for the former track champion while Bilderback cruised to the win. Rookie Adam Cartwright took top honors in the All American Sportsmen feature and Kevin Memoli battled all challengers en route to the Roadrunner title. Bilderback is always a threat at his home track of Rockford Speedway and he proved why when he doubled-up with a win in the Big8 88 lap feature event during the 53rd National Short Track Championship.
